This page explains what personal data PujaPortal (pujaportal.com) receives, why, who helps us process it, and the choices you have.
In short
- You can use PujaPortal without an account. We only ask for what a feature needs.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
- We use a few trusted services to run the site (listed below). They only use your data to provide their service to us.

What we collect and why
Free kundli
- What we receive
- Birth date, time, place (as coordinates) and time zone. The name you type stays in your browser and is not sent to us.
- Why
- To calculate your birth chart.
- Who processes it
- Our server on Cloudflare sends the birth details (without your name) to FreeAstroAPI, which does the calculation.
- How long
- We do not keep a database of kundlis. The calculated chart is kept in Cloudflare's temporary cache for up to 30 days so the same chart loads faster next time, then it expires.
Email my Kundli
- What we receive
- Your email address, the name you typed, and your birth details.
- Why
- To email you your kundli, because you asked us to.
- Who processes it
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) sends the email.
- How long
- We do not keep a copy. Brevo keeps a delivery log for a limited period, as email providers do.
Shop “notify me”
- What we receive
- Your WhatsApp number, the items you picked, and the time you gave consent.
- Why
- To message you on WhatsApp when those items are available, based on your consent.
- Who processes it
- Stored as a contact in Brevo.
- How long
- Up to 12 months after you sign up, or until you reply STOP or ask us to delete it, whichever is sooner.
WhatsApp bookings and messages
- What we receive
- Whatever you send us on WhatsApp: usually your name, gotra, family names, city, chosen puja, date and the number you message from.
- Why
- To arrange the puja or answer your question.
- Who processes it
- WhatsApp (Meta) carries the messages. They stay in our WhatsApp Business account.
- How long
- As long as needed to arrange your puja and follow up, and to keep basic records of bookings.
Live chat
- What we receive
- Your chat messages, and any name or email you choose to give.
- Why
- To answer your questions.
- Who processes it
- Tawk.to provides the chat window.
- How long
- Kept in our Tawk.to account until we delete it.
Website basics
- What we receive
- Your IP address and browser details, which every website receives.
- Why
- To deliver the pages, keep the site secure and stop abuse (for example rate limits).
- Who processes it
- Cloudflare hosts the site. Fonts and page styling load from Google Fonts and the Tailwind CSS CDN.
- How long
- Short-lived security and server logs only.
Usage statistics
- What we receive
- Counts of page views and of taps on some buttons (for example which shop items people pick), with the visitor's country. No cookies, no names, no contact details, and nothing that identifies you.
- Why
- To see which pages and items people are interested in, so we can improve the site and choose what to stock.
- Who processes it
- Cloudflare (Web Analytics and Workers Analytics Engine).
- How long
- Kept as totals; Cloudflare deletes the underlying records after a few months.
Who we share it with
Only these services, and only to run the features above:
- Cloudflare, Inc. (USA): hosting, security and caching.
- FreeAstroAPI: kundli calculations (birth details only, no name or contact details).
- Brevo / Sendinblue SAS (France, EU): kundli emails and shop notification contacts.
- WhatsApp / Meta Platforms: messages you send us.
- tawk.to inc.: live chat.
- Google (Google Fonts): fonts and icons.
We share data with authorities only when the law requires it.
International transfers
PujaPortal is run from India, and some of the services above are in the USA or the EU. Your data may therefore be handled outside your country. Where the law requires it, we rely on the safeguards these providers offer, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Cookies and storage
PujaPortal itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and our usage statistics work without cookies. The kundli page remembers your language choice (English or Hindi) in your browser's local storage. You can clear this at any time in your browser settings.
The live chat (Tawk.to) uses its own cookies so that your conversation continues when you move between pages.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you can:
- ask for a copy of the data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- withdraw your consent at any time, for example by replying STOP to our WhatsApp message;
- object to how we use your data;
- complain to your data protection authority, for example the ICO in the UK, or the authority in your EU country.

Details about other people
When you make a kundli or book a puja for someone else, such as your child, spouse or parents, please make sure they are happy for you to share their details with us. If the person is a child, the parent or guardian should do this.
Security
All pages are served over HTTPS. Our API keys stay on the server and never reach your browser, and we limit how often forms can be sent to stop misuse. No system is perfectly secure, but we only keep what we need, for as short a time as we can.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so on the site.
